Safe. Sensible. Social: Supporting Delivery
4th National Alcohol Conference
24 & 25 November 2009 Aintree Racecourse Liverpool
Presentations
Reducing the crime, anti-social behaviour and health harms associated with the misuse of alcohol
continues to be a key priority for the Government.
We have made significant progress in reducing these harms since publishing Safe Sensible Social
in June 2007. We know that there is still much to be done and fully support the crucial role
that frontline practitioners in local partnerships continue to play in bringing about significant
improvements in the alcohol-related harms that blight our communities.
To this end, the Home Office, Department of Health and Department of Children, Schools
and Families in partnership with colleagues in the North West hosted the 4th National Alcohol
Conference, “Safe Sensible Social: Supporting Delivery” in Liverpool to debate, discuss, share ideas
and best practice, and promote the forging of links.
